On the 27-th - 28-th of June company GENE, a member of biotechnological group Alkor Bio, presented the project «The development of diagnostic kit MB25-CHIP using nanobiotechnology of DNA-microchips for diagnostics of cystic fibrosis & abnormality of reproductive function» at the first international Russian-American Symposium «Innovation technologies in genetics & child epileptology». 

The event took place under the auspices of Moscow Board of Health, Scientific Preventive Center of medical help to children from Moscow city, Miami Children’s Hospital (Florida, USA) & Texas Children’s Hospital (Texas, USA). 

The symposium was aimed to present the most promising native & foreign projects developed using molecular-genetics technologies for diagnostics & therapy of devastating diseases. «MB25-CHIP», presented at the symposium, is a diagnostic kit engineered to determine 25 major mutations of CFTR gene, able to use for neonatal screening (particularly as part of top-priority national project «ZDOROV’E»), clinical molecular-genetics & prenatal diagnostics, genetic screening prior family planning, as well as diagnostics of male infertility.
