The parts of Biotechnological Holding”Alkor Bio”, companies “Alkor Bio” and “Gene” presented their new products during the Exhibition “Zdravookhraneniye 2010” on 6th -10th December.
The 20th International Exhibition for Health Care, Medical Engineering and Pharmaceuticals – “Zdravookhraneniye 2010” became the focal point of the Russian Health Care Week. The exhibition is the largest industry event in Russia, Eastern Europe and the CIS countries. This year more than 1000 Russian and foreign companies participated in the “Zdravookhraneniye 2010”. About 35 000 representatives of medical, scientific, and business societies visited the numerous halls of Expocentre Fairgrounds.
Among the most significant “Alkor Bio” product innovation presended on the Exhibition in Moscow are researches in the spheres of allergy and ToRCH infections diagnostics, 1st trimester prenatal screening and molecular genetic diagnostics.
Particularly “Alkor Bio” Ltd. presented new “AllergoEIA-specific IgE” kit which allows the quantitative detection of allergen specific immunoglobulins in human serum by means of a unique assay, with liquid phase biotinylated allergens and “capture” designed solid phase for both standards and samples.
Company "GENE" presented its new products for molecular genetic diagnostics some of them nowadays are unique for Russian market. “OsteoGENE-M” diagnostic kit is intended for testing of genetic predisposition to bone diseases (like osteoporosis and arthrosis). The “ThromboGENE” kit is intended for definition of hereditary thrombophilia and the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, trophic ulcer and gynecologic complication. The kit "PharmacoGEN-AKG" is intended for fast and qualitative definition of polymorphism of genes, associated with individual hypersensitivity to oral anticoagulants and occurrence of life-threatening bleedings. The definition of polymorphism of these genes allows choosing optimal dose of oral anticoagulants and decreasing mortal bleedings probability. Another diagnostic kit "PharmacoGEN-SLC6A4" is intended for the detection of polymorphisms of SLC6A4 gene associated with depression development. Also "PharmacoGEN-SLC6A4" can be used for the definition of individual sensitivity to antidepressants.
During “Zdravookhaneniye 2010” Exhibition Biotechnological holding “Alkor Bio” for the first time have presented to the medical society prenatal risk assessment complex (diagnostic kits for the first and second trimester testing and Prenatal Risk Assessment Software “Isida”). This diagnostic complex will help to calculate risk of child birth with Down’s syndrome, Edwards’s syndrome, neural tube defects, and fetal growth retardation. The latest research for prenatal screening is “GonadotropinEIA-free β-HCG” kit. This product is intended for the quantitative determination of free beta subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin in human serum during the first pregnancy trimester.
No less important holding achievements are kits for ToRCH infections diagnostics: “ToxoEIA-IgG”, “ToxoEIA-IgG–аvidity” and “HerpesEIA-1 IgG”. “HerpesEIA-1 IgG” kit is a unique research for Russian market. It is the only kit designed for quantitative definition of class G antibodies for Herpes virus in human serum or plasma by enzyme immunoassay method – ELISA (Sandwich assay). Quantitative definition of HSV 1 specific IgG allows monitoring antibodies concentration and estimation therapy effectiveness.Moreover presentation of hormonal diagnostics kits toot place on the exhibition. “ThyroidEIA-free T3” kit can be used for evaluation of thyroid gland function. “SteroidEIA-17-OH-progesterone” kit is intended for differential diagnosis of congenital adrenal hyperplasia. “SteroidEIA- estradiol” kit is a part of reproductive function monitoring.
On the “Alkor Bio” stand visitors also had an opportunity to lean more about other company’s products: tumor markers, control materials for immunoassay analysis and of cause with “Alisei Q.S.” which is a high-speed completely automatic open system allows performing various immunoassays in 96-well format produced by SEAC Group (Italy). “Alisei Q.S.” is exclusively distributed by “Alkor Bio” company in Russia.
